New Hotness:
I has new phone. I hope the reception and coverage area prove to be acceptable, 'cause I'm already in love with this phone!

Are you coming to fighter practice today? I've been looking at those online for a while now and considering upgrading to one when my contract ends in a month-ish.

You'll have to tell me how you like it. I have a Treo right now and while I love the functionality of the calendar, etc., I am not thrilled with it's actual performance as a phone. In a year, I am thinking either iPhone or the Google phone, but am willing to consider Palm again if they get their act together.

Who is your service provider, btw?

What about the phone didn't work for you? I just switched from a Treo 650 on AT&T. I had many more dropped calls in Madison on AT&T than I did with the same phone under TMobile. The problem increased as the battery aged. Sprint has an exclusive contract on the Pre through the remainder of 2009 and I hear their coverage of WI mau be problematic, so i'm considering this a trialperiod. The same services I got from AT&T are $20 cheaper per month with sprint, though, so I hop it works out.

I have the Treo 755, IIRC. My problem isn't dropped calls so much as that it is impossible to catch calls before they go to VM. For some reason, both the vibrate and/or the maxed ring tone on the phone aren't cutting it for me. It's a short ring and then off to VM. Unless I am in a dead-silent area and have completely free hands, almost every call I get ends up being routed. I never had this problem with my other phones.

I have Verizon, and reception is so-so on the Treo compared to my previous phones. I think that is more a function of the Treo itself. I prefer Verizon to either ATT or Sprint (I especially loathe Sprint) based on past experience, but may revisit that when my current contract is up.

I'm getting a new phone today, too - though not as cool as that. And I am moving to AT&T from Verizon. I like Verizon here, but it is lousy in parts of Missouri, which is important. And I can save about $50 per month by being on the same carrier as the Duke, which is a big deal.

Sweet! Also, I am actually back in Madison as of this coming Sunday (contrary to popular belief *grin*) and we should have lunch... I wanna get that tunic kit going, and I think I have a little portable sketching kit your penpal might like...

New phone number also? Or just new phone?

Graduation was tonight, and I am EXHAUSTED! But I got pics of ALL the little darlings.
